Andrew Kaplan

Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Jefferies Financial Products, LLC

Mr. Kaplan serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Jefferies Financial Products, LLC (JFP) and its affiliate Jefferies Asset Management, LLC (JAM).  Prior to joining JAM and JFP in March 2004, Mr. Kaplan was an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of AIG Trading Group, which he joined in 1990.  At AIG Trading Group, Mr. Kaplan supervised the legal, compliance and credit functions for American International Group, Inc. subsidiaries involved in currency and commodity trading, and various asset management activities.

 Prior to joining AIG Trading Group, Mr. Kaplan was General Counsel of Drexel Burnham Lambert Trading Corp. and practiced law at the New York law firms Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Phillips Nizer.  Mr. Kaplan received his B.A. from Tufts University and his J.D. from Cornell University.
